The sensor arms, body, and ear pads of the Versus headset are best cleaned with a dry or slightly moist microfiber cloth. The green fabric that covers the sensor arms may discolor over time. This is expected and may occur more frequently with use and exposure to the sun or other outdoor elements.
What types of cleaners can I use?
We recommend using a microfiber cloth with a small amount of warm water applied to it. If there is buildup on the sensors or if a deeper clean is desired, a 50% alcohol solution can be used in place of warm water. Only a very small amount of water or alcohol is needed, using too much of any substance can interfere with the headset's functionality.
How often should I clean the headset?
The sensors can be wiped/cleaned after each use if shared between multiple users. For single user headsets, cleaning less frequently will help the headset to attain a connection faster, but cleaning can occur after each session if desired.
How do I clean the sensors?
Using a dry microfiber cloth, gently wipe away any excess sensor conditioner on the sensors. If large amounts of sensor conditioner are present, apply a small amount of warm water or a 50% alcohol solution to a cloth and gently wipe the tips of each sensor.
Can I clean the ear clip?
Yes. The ear clip is vital to maintaining a stable connection. Clean the ear clip whenever cleaning the sensors.
How do I clean the ear clip?
The ear clip can be wiped off using a dry microfiber cloth, or one moistened with warm water or 50% alcohol. If a large accumulation of sensor conditioner or debris is found on the ear clip, ensure this build up is removed prior to using Versus.
